Petre Astafei
Petre Astafei (* 1942 ) is a former Romanian pole vaulter . He won the Romanian championship four times in a row (1962-65) in this discipline.
He is the father of the high jumper Alina Astafei and the father-in-law of her colleague Wolfgang Kreissig . His son Petre junior, a rugby player, was shot dead during the Romanian Revolution .
