The Nml PfalzB 02 was a freight wagon with a compressed air brake and heating cable with a load weight of more than 10 tons and a load length> 9.9 m. In 1902, 50 of the cars were procured for the Royal Bavarian State Railways. With the transition to the DRG the cars were as Gl in the Gattungsbezirk queued Dresden.
Constructive features
Underframe
Frame: completely riveted together from rolled profiles. The outer side rails had a U-shaped cross-section. Long, lateral running boards for use in passenger trains
Drawbar: screw couplings, the drawbar was continuous and sprung in the middle.
Bumpers: The original rod buffers were later replaced by sleeve buffers .
Running gear: half-timbered axle holder made of flat iron, long, cranked design, sliding axle bearings and wheel sets with spoked wheel bodies, the middle axle can be moved laterally, the outer axles are club steering axles .
Brake: Pneumatic brake system grinder, hand brake in the raised brakeman's cab.
Car body
Shell: iron body frame made of U and L profiles, clad on the outside with horizontal tongue and groove boards. Interior diagonally clad with wooden boards. Flat roof, raised brakeman's cab, accessible from both sides, with a high arched roof. No transition on the front sides.
Heating: The vehicles had a heating cable.
Loading opening: one loading opening on each side of the wagon, clear width 1500 mm, clear height 2000 mm, closed with wooden sliding doors, standing on rollers and guided through a head bar
Ventilation: four ventilation grilles on each side of the vehicle, closable from the inside with flaps.
