The encircled , irregular complex consists of a manor house with two single-storey, plastered building wings . The north wing is essentially a half-timbered house from the 17th century. The early classical , massive east wing with a central risalit was built in 1776 as a connecting building to the baroque corner pavilion with a mansard roof and a bell tower. From 1910 to 1911 a new entrance porch was built in the corner of the building and the access to the east wing was changed. The so-called Rococo Hall is located in the east wing . It is adorned with supraports and mirrors in elaborate carved frames. The sandstone fireplace with a large heraldic cartouche is remarkable, the two Delft faience ovens are from the first half of the 18th century. The Kutscherkotten is a half-timbered building from the 18th century.

The farm buildings belonging to the estate are located south of the mansion on the opposite side of the street. They were built at the end of the 19th century.

Landscape park

Franz von Borries created the originally baroque manor park

history

The park was laid out by Franz von Borries with the construction of the east wing around 1776. It had a baroque ground floor and a terraced part of the park with orange trees and statues based on ancient Greek models. The conversion of this park into a two-part landscape park probably took place in the middle of the 19th century. The southern part with a large pond in the center was characterized by individual trees in lawns and meandering paths, to the north there was a small wood with paths. To the north of the building, an artificial elevation that still exists today is shown. Behind her, the park was expanded to the north in the first half of the 20th century. Today the park covers an area of about 3.5  hectares .

Furnishing

The very well-preserved park is dominated by the water areas of the graves and the pond, in which the old trees are reflected, as well as an approximately 750 year old pedunculate oak with a trunk circumference of 13 meters. The tree population consists of a total of 47 types of wood from the subtropical and temperate zones. These include a river cedar , an umbrella magnolia and an East Asian hackberry tree . In the park there is an oak tree with a chest height of 8.00 m (2014).
