description

The Röhrentrup estate was first mentioned in writing in 1363 as "Rorìnctorpe". The property is a listed building and consists of several half-timbered houses that date from the middle of the 17th century and were expanded in a representative manner in the 19th century. The manor house, a solid building with a clock tower on the side, was built in 1845/46. The small watermill on the property, a quarry stone building, is dated 1672. A stone granary built around 1855 on the property is a listed building.

A so-called farmer's castle has also been preserved , which is a little off the beaten track by a pond. It was first mentioned in writing in 1428 as "stenwerk to Rorinctorpe". It is a quarry stone building with two floors, slotted windows and an eaves-side entrance. Was used the building, among other things as memory and offered the courtiers as keep refuge. In 1975 the building was expanded and has been used for residential purposes ever since.

The name of the property consists of the name components tubes and troops . The former refers to the occurrence of reeds , a plant species that forms reed beds . In fact, the property is located on a pond with reed beds. The second part of the name means village , although at that time a fairly manageable number of houses were called that.

The estate is located in the headwaters of the Oetternbach , which is why it is also known as the Röhrentruperbach in its upper reaches .

On August 22, 1617, after a complaint before the Imperial Court of Justice in Speyer , negotiations between the Lippe sovereign Simon VI took place on the estate . and the citizens of the city of Lemgo , with whom the citizens could enforce the free practice of religion and the free choice of their pastors. Because of the location of the conference, the process is referred to as the Röhrentruper recess .

Gut Röhrentrup belonged to the municipality of Dehlentrup , which was incorporated into the district town of Detmold with the Detmold Act on January 1, 1970.
