The Uffoburg (castle Uffoburg) or Uffenburg is an Outbound hilltop castle at 200 to 215 meters above sea level height on the "Rintelschen Hagen" southwest of the village Bremke in the district Rott the community Extertal in the district of Lippe in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The name Uffoburg is derived from Count Uffo, who is first mentioned in the chronicle "Catalogus episcoporum Mindensium" written by Hermann von Lerbeck in the 14th century . This chronicle tells of a Count Uffo in the 9th century, whose wife Hiltborch founded the Möllenbeck Monastery in 869 . Count Uffo is said to have owned two castles, including one near the village of Bredenbeke (= Bremke). A local researcher sees the other castle of Count Uffo, which has not yet been securely located, in the Hünenburg Steinbergen .

The Uffoburg was examined in 1900 by Otto Weerth during an excavation lasting several days. The numerous ceramics found in the interior of the castle are dated to the second half of the 9th century. The castle was probably abandoned at the beginning of the 10th century. Remains of buildings have not yet been found.

From the former 200 by 250 meter ramparts , which was divided into a front and a main castle , only small remnants of ramparts have survived.
