Gut Ullenhausen

The Good Ullenhausen located on the territory of the municipality Extertal in the northeast of the East Westphalia Lippe in North Rhine-Westphalia . The main and storage building of the estate is a listed building.

history

The Ullenhausen estate, a former aristocratic estate, was created in 1557. It was built in place of a Benedictine monastery founded around 1240 . The monastery was founded in Ullenhausen was initially quite significant over time was Convention but still small and consisted in 1407 only five people. After the monastery was dissolved in the 15th century, the monastery buildings fell into disrepair and the property became the property of the Augustinian hermits in Herford . By Count Simon V , the former monastery was finally transferred to the Werpup family from Alverdissen as a fief - the Ullenhausen estate was created. The Werpup family ran the estate from 1557 to 1700. From 1704 to 1798 the estate was owned by the family of the royal, British captain von Alten , who in turn sold it to a Cordemann family in 1798. Heinrich Braband bought the estate in 1937, and his family has managed the estate to this day.

Gut Ullenhausen

The main building of the estate, a stone building with a steep gable and post windows, was built in 1596. The rear gable and partly the courtyard front were provided with half-timbering in the 19th century. The opposite storage building made of quarry stone with half-timbering was built as a counterpart in the second half of the 17th century . A half-timbered stable bears the year 1746.
