The Wöbbel Castle is a Baroque building in Wöbbel , City Schieder-Schwalenberg in Lippe , North Rhine-Westphalia . The castle was built in 1690 by the Lippe court official Lewin Moritz von Donop as the owner after a previous building in the Renaissance style was destroyed in the Thirty Years War. It was built in the Dutch classicism style. The staircase leading to the castle was demolished in 1720 after a fall was fatal; the trenches were filled in in 1870. From 1584 to 1958 the castle was owned by the von Donop family .

A palace garden and farm buildings belong to the building wing of the palace. The facility is now privately owned.

During the Second World War, beginning in 1942, parts of the Münster City Archives were relocated to Wöbbel Castle to protect them from attacks.
