Staatz rectory

The vicarage of Staatz in Lower Austria is located south of the parish church of St. Martin on Kirchenplatz. Like the church, it is a listed building ( list entry ).

The oldest part is a massive tower in the east, which, according to the inscription, was built in 1412 by Pastor Erhard Schilch. The tower has a square floor plan, quarry stone masonry , cast stones and some slotted windows. The two-story parish building adjoins to the west . This was originally one-story. Its medieval masonry and the walls of a pointed arch portal were partially exposed. The rectory is accessible through a rectangular portal with a stone frame. In 1787 the building was increased by one floor. The facade has a uniform plaster band structure. The two-storey extension in the west is from more recent times.
