The Roman Catholic parish church Dafins is in Dafins in the municipality of Zwischenwasser in the Feldkirch district in Vorarlberg . The parish church consecrated to St. Joseph belongs to the Rankweil deanery of the Feldkirch diocese . The church is a listed building .

history

Trafins was mentioned in a document in 1441 . From 1703 there were foundations for a church. A church was built around 1715 and consecrated in 1749. In 1845 the church was enlarged and a porch was added. In 1880 the choir, the tower and the sacristy were built. In 1917/1918 a new building was built according to the plans of the builder Hilti, which was consecrated in 1918. The initial branch church of the Liebfrauenpfarre in Rankweil was elevated to a parish church in 1884. From 1975 to 1978 the church was restored inside and out.

architecture

The nave and the choir are under a common gable roof. The western front has a portent . A single-storey sacristy is added to the south of the choir and the north tower to the north of the choir. To the south of the nave is a side chapel with a gable facade and its own portal.
