The parish church of Golling an der Erlauf is located in the village of Neuda in the market town of Golling an der Erlauf in the Melk district in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church consecrated to St. Francis of Assisi belongs to the deanery of Ybbs in the diocese of St. Pölten .

history

The church was built from 1962 to 1964 according to the plans of the master builder Johann Kräftner sen. built. The church was elevated to a parish church in 1969.

architecture

The plastered church building as a concrete building with slotted windows under a gable roof shows ribbon windows on the side. The church shows a mosaic St. Franziskus by the painter Sepp Mayrhuber 1971. The free-standing bell tower is a steel frame construction.

The interior of the church has an open roof structure over thin round pillars on the sides. The altarpiece as a stuccolustro fresco St. Francis before Christ as Pantocrator was created by Sepp Mayrhofer in 1975.

Furnishing

Sepp Mayrhuber created the furnishings with mosaics of the Way of the Cross in 1971, tabernacle mosaic, stucco-lustro picture Whitsun 1983. There is an oil painting of angels making music.

Herbert Gollini built the organ in 1972.
