Herbert Gollini

Herbert Gollini (* 1928 in Vienna ; † 2017 ) was an Austrian organ builder .

Life

Herbert Gollini studied organ at a young age with Anton Heiller at the Vienna Music Academy . Trained in organ building by Wilhelm Zika , he worked in his workshop until 1960. From 1960 to 1967 Gollini was employed by Gregor Hradetzky , where he was responsible for the disposition, construction and intonation of the instruments. By Gollinis impact took place in the home Hradetzky of pioneering transition to mechanical slider chest , to the work principle and intonation way with open pipes feet. In 1971 Gollini finally founded his own workshop in Vienna.

1981 Vienna Holy Spirit Church Gollini organ Schmelz 01.jpg II / P 29 The original organ, commissioned by Josef Panhuber in 1930 and completed in 1933, was equipped with a pneumatic action, but was converted to an electro-pneumatic system by Philipp Eppel in 1962 . When Herbert Gollini built a new organ in 1980/81, 19 stops of the Panhuber organ could be reused and 10 stops were made. In the course of the renovation carried out by Achim Reichmann in 2002, the trumpet 8 ', whose bell had been taken over by Gollini from Panhuber, was exchanged for a new one.
