Philipp Eppel

Philipp Eppel (born March 17, 1907 in Vienna ; † September 28, 1987 there ) was an Austrian organ builder .

Life

Eppel completed an apprenticeship, then he worked for the Viennese organ company Kauffmann and took the master's examination. After the war years and working in Budapest , he founded an organ building company in Vienna. He restored or rebuilt numerous old organs , but also a number of new organs came from his company, whereby he soon switched to modern slider chests.
