The parish church Haßbach is located in the center of Haßbach in the market town of Warth in the Neunkirchen district in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to the patronage of Martin von Tours , belongs to the Kirchberg deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Wienerwald of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The church and the cemetery walls are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

A parish was accepted for the 13th and 14th centuries. In the 16th century the area was deserted. In 1683 the church was destroyed during the Turkish War. In 1686 the church was rebuilt with the year on the triumphal arch. In 1784 the parish was re-established. In the second half of the 19th century, changes were made to the church with additions to the south, in 1870 with an oratory above the sacristy, in 1884 with a portal expansion. In 1914 there was a restoration. The interior was restored in 1977, during which the crypt of the von Wurmbrand-Stuppach family, built before 1620, was uncovered and then closed again in the nave .

The Romanesque church has a nave with a rectangular choir and a Gothic western tower presented. The nave was changed in early baroque style. The church received smaller extensions later. Around the church there is a cemetery with a cemetery wall.
