Herrenried parish church
The Roman Catholic parish church in Herrenried is located in the Herrenried district of the municipality of Hohenems in Vorarlberg . The parish church of St. Konrad belongs to the dean's office in Dornbirn in the diocese of Feldkirch . The church building and the parish center are under monument protection .
history
From 1968 to 1974 a church with a parish center was built according to the plans of the architects Johann Georg Gsteu and Walter Ramstorfer. In 1974 the parish vicariate of Herrenried was separated from the Hohenems parish.
architecture
The central building with staggered skylight windows has low extensions attached to the side. The hall with an irregular hexagon floor plan has a concrete roof structure. The sanctuary and the altar block are hexagonal. The gallery was accessed via two outside stairs.
