The Nibelungen fountain with its mosaic was discovered in 1955 from Hohenems artist Hannes Scherling occasion of the 200 anniversary of the discovery of the Nibelungen manuscript C designed. In 1755 this manuscript was found in the library of the palace by Jakob Hermann Oberrait.
