The Roman Catholic parish church Mühlbach am Manhartsberg is elevated in the middle of the village Mühlbach am Manhartsberg in the market town of Hohenwarth-Mühlbach am Manhartsberg in the Hollabrunn district in Lower Austria . The church consecrated to St. Martin belongs to the deanery Sitzendorf in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The church building is a listed building .

history

A parish was mentioned in the late 11th century. The parish was incorporated into the Göttweig Abbey until 1996 . In 1390 a charity was donated to the chapel of St. Called Katharina. Around 1400 a high medieval nave with a slightly retracted choir was built. In 1687 the church was redesigned in Baroque style with the master builder Philipp Steindl, and the choir was lengthened. In 1837 renovations took place, the choir was given a three-year closure.

Furnishing

Ignaz Reinold (1835) built the baroque organ . Ferdinand Vötterlechner (1755) cast a bell .
