history

A branch of Sindelburg was mentioned in a document in 1336 and raised to a parish in 1716.

The previous building was built around 1690. The church was commissioned by Count Leopold Daun from 1759 to 1761 according to the plans of the architect Paul Ulrich Trientl. In 1834 the tower was renewed. From 1892 to 1896 the facility was renovated and partly designed in a new Romanesque style. 1957 to 1961 a re-baroque style took place.

architecture

The church is surrounded by a cemetery and a baroque chapel is integrated into the wall.

The late baroque longitudinal oblong central building of the parish church closes with a retracted choir bay. The western front has a facade tower.

The block-like church building under a hipped roof has a uniform facade structure through pilaster strips with large segment-arched stone-walled windows with plug-in grilles, the choir has two small round windows. The western front has a shallow central projection and is strictly vertically structured by monumental pilaster strips and has a large rectangular window in the middle above a smaller window, above an unadorned parapet, the facade tower from 1834 has an onion helmet from 1961.

Furnishing

High altar in the end of the choir

The high altar as a stucco lustro wall retable is fitted into the end of the choir. The altar panel from the third quarter of the 18th century represents the hll. Peter and Paul represent and above them a symbol of God's eye in an angelic glory. The free-standing tabernacle shows the Sonntagberg image of grace with flanking angels, created by Franz Masser around 1960 after Jakob Schletterer.

Reinisch-Pirchner built the organ in 1961.
