The Schneegattern parish church is located in the village of Schneegattern in the municipality of Lengau in the Innviertel in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Maria von Lourdes belongs to the dean's office Mattighofen in the diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

The parish church was built in place of a wooden church on the initiative of Pastor Johann Weißengruber according to plans by Richard Puchner between 1934 and 1936 and was consecrated on October 12, 1936 by Bishop Johannes Maria Gföllner . The church is a three-aisled nave with an open roof. A cross carved by Johann Weißengruber forms the center of the chancel. In the left aisle is the Lourdes grotto , in the right the Sacred Heart altar.
