It was built on the initiative of pastor Johann Weißengruber according to plans by Bad Hall architect Richard Puchner in 1934-36 and consecrated on October 12, 1936 by Bishop Johannes Maria Gföllner . A cross carved by Johann Weißengruber forms the center of the chancel. In the left aisle is the Lourdes grotto, in the right the Sacred Heart altar.
