The parish church Mariae Himmelfahrt was mentioned as early as 1074. The sacred building was originally a Romanesque pillar basilica, in the Gothic period it was redesigned and enlarged. 1476 New construction of the choir and the south tower, the nave today has three aisles and five bays, the choir is wider than the central nave and has a 3/8 end, with the Gothic ribs removed. The vault is partially covered with acanthus and band work by Hans Hennervogel, dated 1718. In the late Gothic tower in the southern choir corner, the two upper floors are converted into an octagon, the high double-onion helmet is from 1936. Johann Peter was responsible for the tabernacle on the high altar created in 1777 Schwanthaler the Elder responsible. In the Sebastian chapel there is an altar from 1643, the altarpiece is a copy of the painting by Hans von Achen in Munich's Michaelskirche. A number of works in the church are related to the Zürn family of sculptors . The altar of the Anna Chapel, built in 1514, is from 1676 and a creation by Thomas Schwanthaler . The crypt is located under the two eastern yokes of the south aisle.

The Postal Grindelberg should not be a medieval castle site, but an originally or prehistoric ramparts to present findings. Two pits that have since been largely filled in could have been cisterns. In the immediate vicinity there is a burial mound necropolis, which is likely to be closely related to the defense system.
