The parish church of St. Ulrich an der Goding is located in St. Ulrich an der Goding at the foot of the Koralpe to the east in the town of Sankt Andrä in the Wolfsberg district in Carinthia . history

A church was documented in 1313. There was a fire in 1676. In 1996 the interior was colored and the equipment was rearranged.

architecture

The church building, which is partly Gothic and Baroque, is surrounded by a cemetery wall. The north tower has twin sound windows and a pointed helmet. The choir is polygonal. The southern sacristy annex is two-story. The west portal is rounded.

The interior of the church shows itself as a three-bay nave under baroque vaults between belt arches and pilasters. The three-axis west gallery on pillars is vaulted under with squares and probably shows the inscription to expand the gallery ... Under the Kayser Franz zum Second 1821. The baroque triumphal arch is round-arched. The Gothic retracted single-bay choir from the first third of the 15th century has a five-eighth end and a ribbed vault on round services and keystones in relief with the head of Christ and a rosette. The choir has three two-lane Gothic tracery windows from the 15th century with fish-bubble tracery. The southern sacristy has a barrel vault with jumping lancet caps from the 17th century, to the west it has a portal with a lintel and an iron-studded door.

There are remains of wall paintings from the second quarter of the 15th century: On the north wall of the choir a fragment of a living cross, on the south wall of the choir in the arched area of ​​the dragon fight of St. George, remains of the robes of two saints, and the foundation inscription of a hans vogan .

Furnishing

The Hochaltarmensa is a monolith slab by Josef Klimbacher 1986. On the north wall of the choir are a late Gothic carved figure of St. Ulrich around 1480/1490 and the side figures Barbara and Blasius from the former neo-Gothic high altar in 1889 by Alois Progar, including the figure St. Ulrich on the nave wall.

The baroque triumphal arch crucifix is ​​from the second half of the 18th century life-size statues of St. Maria and Maria Magdalena around 1725. The left side altar from 1752 shows the altar leaf hl. Ulrich and carries a tabernacle from the middle of the 18th century. The right side altar from the middle of the 18th century shows the altar sheet St. Michael and carries a tabernacle from the second half of the 17th century.

In 1999 the organ was restored. Georg Seisser names a bell in 1643.
