The parish church of Traun-St. Martin is located in the St. Martin district in the municipality of Traun in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Martin belongs to the deanery of Traun in the diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 8, 1958, and the foundation stone was laid for the new church on August 17, 1958 with Bishop Franz Zauner . The tower and bells were consecrated on December 21, 1958 and rang for the first time at Christmas 1958. The church itself was consecrated on November 20, 1960 by Bishop Franz Zauner. The pastor Ignatius Koller consecrated the organ in 1970 and the redesigned Marienkapelle in 1978.

architecture

The hall space is formed in a cross shape with a nave and a transept under open roofs on the inside. The steeple shows the bells.
