The Roman Catholic parish church of Vorderstoder is located in the municipality of Vorderstoder in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district in Upper Austria . It is consecrated to St. Leopold and belongs to the Windischgarsten Dean's Office in the Diocese of Linz . The building is a listed building .

history

The late Gothic building was consecrated in 1507.

Church building

Church exterior

The church is a late Gothic building. A ridge turret with a newer pointed helmet rises above the west side of the church roof. The late Gothic north portal has bars and is ogival.

Church interior

The church has a single nave with three bay bays. The two-bay choir is drawn in and vaulted with mesh ribs. It ends in a 3/8 finish. There is a ribbed vault over the choir and nave . The bases of the rounds of services are roughened .

Furnishing

The high altar dates from 1745 and 1746. The statues on the altar, as well as the two statues of Saints Joseph and Isidor standing in the choir, were documented by Ignaz Mähl from Wels . The version of the high altar picture and the antependium are by Wolfgang Andreas Heindl . The altarpiece was painted by Martin Johann Schmidt in 1770. It was restored in 1958. The altar was reduced in size in 1780. The side altars from 1705 and 1706 were documented by Johann Baptist Carlperger . On the left side altar is a late Gothic statue of the Virgin Mary from the beginning of the 16th century. The pulpit is from 1707. In the nave there are two paintings: one shows “Saint Leonhard” and the second the “ Fourteen Helpers in Need ”. Both hang in a good frame and were painted in the manner of Wolfgang Andreas Heindl.

Bells

The bell dates from 1401.
