The company had built a reputation for itself both at home and abroad with its specialties, Pfau Hof Cognac and Pfau Quarnero Brandy , and they were widely available. The products were often counterfeited and could be of poor quality or even harmful to health. During the Boxer Rebellion, Pfau & Co. donated several boxes with 5000 bottles of Quarnero brandy. Due to the quality of the products Pfau & Co. received the title of " kuk Hofdestillateur ".

In 1910 the owners were Nathan and Jakob Pfau.
