from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Pharyngologie (Greek. Pharynx throat or pharynx or esophagus beginning and -logie ) is called a branch of medicine that deals with the pharynx busy and its diseases. The term is out of date and was hardly used at the beginning of the 20th century. In contrast to the more historical sub-area laryngology and rhinology , the term pharyngology has not found its way into medical parlance. Today it is part of the work of ENT specialists .
