Phil Mulkey

Phil Mulkey (actually Philip Roy Mulkey; born January 7, 1933 in Monett , Missouri ) is a former American decathlete .
At the 1959 Pan American Games in Chicago, he won silver, and at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he gave up after the seventh discipline.
His personal best of 8709 points (8049 points in today's rating) he set on June 17, 1961 in Memphis .
