Broad Street Station.

The Broad Street Station (German: Broad Street Station , literally "station Broad Street" ) was a terminal station in Philadelphia in the US -Bundesstaat Pennsylvania . It was located immediately northwest of the town hall . It was opened in 1881 as the inner-city central station of the Pennsylvania Railroad , expanded in 1891 and was in operation until about 1930. Their function was taken over by the neighboring, underground Suburban Station in local traffic and 30th Street Station about 1.5 km further west on the other bank of the Schuylkill in long-distance traffic . The building was demolished after the railway operations ended.
