Philip Chetwode, 2nd Baron Chetwode
Philip Chetwode, 2nd Baron Chetwode (born March 26, 1937 ) is a British peer .
He is the older son of Roger Charles George Chetwode (1906–1940) and his wife Molly Patricia Berry (1915–1995). His paternal grandfather is Field Marshal Philip Walhouse Chetwode, 1st Baron Chetwode (1869–1950).
Since his father had died in 1940 in World War II, he inherited his grandfather's title as 2nd Baron Chetwode and 8th Baronet , of Oakley when his grandfather died . An automatic seat in the House of Lords was also associated with the baron title . In Hansard no parliamentary speeches are recorded by him. His hereditary right to the seat of Parliament expired when the House of Lords Act 1999 came into force .
From 1956 to 1966 he served in the Royal Horse Guards , most recently with the rank of captain.
On August 10, 1967, he married Susan Janet van der Byl (* 1944) for the first time. The marriage ended in divorce in 1979. His second marriage was on July 12, 1990, with Fiona Tsintsaris. He has three children from his first marriage:
