Philip Clarke (* 1960 in Liverpool ) is a British manager .
Life
Clarke studied economics at the University of Liverpool . In 1998 he started working for the British company Tesco , which he led as CEO from 2011 to July 2014 , succeeding Terry Leahy . Clarke lives in Hertfordshire with his wife, Linda, and has two children.
