Philip Hunt (politician)
Philip Alexander Hunt, Baron Hunt of Kings Heath (born May 19, 1949 ) is a British politician.
Life
He attended Oxford High School and Oxford School and studied at Leeds University until 1970. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science . He is married to Selina Stewart and has two daughters and three sons.
In 1997 he was named a Life Peer as Baron Hunt of Kings Heath , of Birmingham in the County of West Midlands .

Philip Hunt was a member of Oxford City Council from 1973 to 1979 and of Birmingham from 1980 to 1982 .
He was in the government of Tony Blair as Parliamentary Secretary of State in the UK Ministry of Health until he resigned on March 18, 2003 in protest of the government's Iraq policy . He also hit the headlines when his then 14-year-old son took part in an anti-war rally in Birmingham in March 2003.
