Philipp Drachstedt (* unknown; † 1539 in Eisleben ) was a German mining and smelting entrepreneur, councilor of the Counts of Mansfeld and acquaintance of Martin Luther . Luther died in his house in Eisleben on February 18, 1546.

Drachstedt married Margaretha, the only daughter of the financially strong citizen Thilo Rincke from Eisleben. His father-in-law transferred several of his possessions to him while he was still alive. B. the hut at Krebsfeld am Rothenberg near Eisleben. Together they had a new iron and steel works built in Stolberg (Harz) .

After the death of his father-in-law, he took over his house on the market in Eisleben, which no longer exists in this form. The first marriage had five children. After Drachstedt's wife died early, he married a second time.

Drachstedt's daughter Euphenia married the Leipzig citizen Ludwig Büchner. After the death of her grandfather Thilo Rincke, she claimed a fifth of her father's inheritance. Together with her husband she went through all instances up to the Reich Chamber of Commerce . There she suffered a heavy defeat in 1523 when Philipp Drachstedt was found right there.

Philip's son Barthel Drachstedt took over a large part of his father's possessions after his father's death. When he fell out of favor with Count Albrecht von Mansfeld, the seriously ill Martin Luther traveled to him in early 1546 to settle the dispute. Luther achieved a reconciliation between the two. Immediately afterwards the reformer died in the Drachstedtisches Haus , the exact location of which there are different opinions in scientific research.
