Philip I (Waldeck)

Philip I (* 1445 ; † 1475 ) was count of Waldeck zu Waldeck in 1475 and is the progenitor of the older line of the Waldeck family .

He was the son of Count Wolrad I and his wife Barbara von Wertheim . He himself married Johanna von Nassau-Dillenburg in 1464 . The son Heinrich emerged from the marriage.

After his father's death, Philipp succeeded him as Count of the Waldeck zu Waldeck line. Since he died that same year, Philipp could not set his own political accents.
