Philip IV (Macedonia)
Philip IV ( Greek Φίλιππος ) († 296 BC in Elateia ) was king of Macedonia in 297 BC. BC to 296 BC As the eldest son of Kassander and Thessalonike (a half-sister of Alexander the Great ), he belonged to the ruling family of the Antipatrids . Philip died after only four months of rule in Elateia in Phocis on consumption .
No further details are known about his brief reign. After his death, his two brothers Antipater I and Alexander took over the government together.
