Philipp Scheibelreiter
Philipp Scheibelreiter (* 1976 ) is an Austrian legal scholar .
Life
He completed his law studies in Vienna on December 1, 2000. After completing his dissertation in 2005, he received the ROM scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 2008 and 2010 . From August 2009 he taught as an assistant professor. He received the Premio Lauro Chiazzese as part of the 5th Premio internazionale romanistico Gérard Boulvert in 2013. He represented the Chair of Roman Law and German Civil Law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015. After completing his habilitation at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna in March 2015, he has been teaching as a professor since March 2018 for ancient legal history and Roman law at the University of Vienna
His focus is on Roman law, Greek law, ancient international law, classical philology (Greek studies) and Spanish legal language.
