Philipp Wilhelm von Rieder († around 1622 ) was a Anhalt court official.

Life

In 1610 he was appointed stable master and secret councilor at the court of Prince Rudolf von Anhalt-Zerbst . In 1618 he reached the high point of his career when he was appointed royal court marshal .

In 1622 von Rieder was accepted into the Fruit Bringing Society by Prince Ludwig I. von Anhalt-Köthen . The prince gave him the company name The Stubborn and the motto In the water . As an emblem he was given a water nut as it grows , i.e. the water nut ( Trapa natans ). His entry can be found in the Koethen Society Register under number 40.

Since von Rieder remained unmarried and without offspring, his sex died out with him in the male line.
