Philipp von Hörde (Canon)

Philipp von Hörde (* in the 15th century; † August 26, 1538 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman, vice dominus and canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Philipp von Hörde came from the Westphalian noble family Hörde and was the son of Friedrich von Hörde zu Störmede († 1503) and his wife Katharina von Fürstenberg. His brother Hermann was canon in Münster. Johann, his other brother, was canon in Paderborn.

Act

Philipp was first mentioned in a document on April 18, 1510 as the canon of Münster. In 1530 he became Vice Dominus. Representing the sovereign was associated with this office, which he held until his death . He was the owner of the Archdeaconate Ascheberg and Geisteren .
