Philippe van Haute

Philippe van Haute (* 1957 ) is a Belgian psychoanalyst and philosopher. He is the author of several books on the importance of psychoanalysis for philosophy, as well as professor of philosophical anthropology at Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen . Van Haute made the theory of Jacques Lacan known in the Netherlands.

biography

Philippe van Haute studied philosophy and psychoanalysis at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), received his doctorate there in 1989 and received his first position in Tilburg. Since 1994 he has been a professor at Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands). He is co-founder of the Belgian-Dutch Center for Psychoanalysis and Philosophical Anthropology.
