Phillip Stockfleth

Phillip Stockfleth (born October 25, 1977 in Bad Segeberg , Schleswig-Holstein ) is a German martial artist; multiple national champion, eight times German champion, twice European champion and karate world champion 2007.

Life

Stockfleth started Shotokan karate in April 1991 . After a while he was already taking part in state championships and other tournaments. Through Shotokan karate, Phillip Stockfleth came to Ashihara karate (full contact) and also learned various techniques from kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu . Stockfleth himself is registered in various associations and was able to fight for various high-quality titles in his past competitive career. He was multiple national champion, multiple German champion in various disciplines, also multiple German Open winner. There are also European and world championship titles. Stockfleth reached its absolute peak in 2007 when he won the Grand Champion title at the world championship. After Stockfleth ended his active karate competition time, he switched to the sport of Kenjutsu , a modern sword fighting discipline that is fought with hard foam swords ( katanas ). In 2010 Stockfleth ended his active competitive career and has since devoted himself to his martial arts school in Hamburg and to the next generation of karate.

  • Inducted into the International Hall of Fame in London
  • Awarded the "Best Fighter" award
