Philomena Luavaasiitia "Luava'a" Tofaeono (born February 23, 2000 in Pago Pago ) is an American-Samoan beach handball player .

Luava'a Tofaeono starts for the CaBoom Athletic Club of Ili'ili . The central player, who can be used both defensively and offensively, belongs to the founding generation of handball, especially beach handball, in American Samoa. She was part of the squad of her association that won the title at the U-17 Oceania Beach Handball Championships against the favored Australian team and thus qualified for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games . In Buenos Aires , too, Tofaeono was part of the squad that finished eleventh.

The following year Tofaeono was part of the American Samoas senior team. At the continental championships of Oceania 2019 and the parallel Australian championships, in which the team from American Samoa competed as a club team, the team won the silver medals in both competitions. In the context of the continental championships, the team from American Samoa only had to admit defeat to Australia and won not only against the representation of the Cook Islands , but also the team from New Zealand .

Since September 2019, Tofaeono has also been coaching the newly founded U15 girls' national beach handball team of their association together with Naomi A'asa .
