from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Philomena von Sanseverino , also Filumena or Filomena , was an early Christian martyr about whose life and death almost nothing has been handed down.

Her relics were found in 1527 in the monastery church of San Lorenzo in Sanseverino in Piceno ( Italy ). An inscription says that they were brought there at the time of the Goths' rule (probably around 500).

Her feast day is July 5th .
