The Phoenix Islands Protected Area (PIPA) is a marine protected area in the Phoenix Islands area of Kiribati . With a size of 408,250 square kilometers , it is one of the largest marine protected areas on earth.

The protected area has been on the list of World Heritage in Kiribati since 2010 .
