Gulács is a municipality in the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county in northeast Hungary and is located on the right bank of the Tisza between Vásárosnamény and Fehérgyarmat .

history

The first mention of the place can be found in the correspondence of the Zichy family. It dates from 1327.

Until 1923 the place belonged to Bereg County and then with its formation to Szatmár, Ugocsa and Bereg County . In the meantime, from 1938 to 1945, Gulács was part of the Bereg és Ugocsa kee county. With the regional reform of 1950, the place was assigned to the Szabolcs-Szatmár county.

In 1948 and 2001 the Tisza flooded the village.
