Beregsurány is a Hungarian municipality in the Vásárosnamény County in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County . It is located in the east of the county a good 500 meters west of the border with Ukraine . On the other side of the border are the Ukrainian towns of Astej ( Астей ) and Berehove .
history
The community originally only had the name Surány .

In Beregsurány the road no. 4127 and the 41-es főút (main road no. 41) cross, which leads to the Ukrainian border crossing. The nearest Hungarian train station is about 20 kilometers west in Vásárosnamény .
