Mátyus is a Hungarian community in the county Vásárosnamény in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County .
Geographical location
Mátyus is 17.5 kilometers north of the district town Vásárosnamény , three kilometers west of the border with Ukraine , on the right bank of the Tisza . Neighboring communities are Lónya in the north and Tiszakerecseny in the south.
