Angélica Guadalupe Celaya (born July 9, 1982 in Tucson , Arizona ) is an American - Mexican actress .

Life

Angélica Celaya was born in Tucson , Arizona , and grew up there. Her parents immigrated to the United States from Sonora, Mexico in 1971 . At 16, she received a scholarship from the University of Arizona and began studying psychology there alongside high school . She received another scholarship from Argos Acting Studios, Mexico. After graduating there, from 2005 she appeared mainly in recurring supporting roles in the telenovelas broadcast by Telemundo such as Los plateados (2005), Marina (2006), Mientras haya vida(2008), Perro amor , Alguien te mira (both 2010) and El Señor de los Cielos (2013).

She made her debut on English-language television in 2012 in an episode of the crime series Burn Notice . In 2014 she had a supporting role in the third season of Dallas and was hired for the role of Zed Martin on NBC's Constantine . The series, based on the Hellblazer comics by DC Comics , premiered in October 2014 and was discontinued after a season in February 2015.

While filming Alguien te mira , she met the Mexican actor Rafael Amaya . The two got engaged in 2015.
