Phrasaortes († 327/326 BC) was a governor of Alexander the great in the 4th century BC.

Phrasaortes was a Persian. His father, Rheomithres, fought against Alexander in the Battle of Granikos in 334 BC. And in the battle of Issus in 333 BC. In which he also fell. How Phrasaortes got into the followers of Alexander is unclear. 331 BC He was appointed by Alexander to the satrap of Persis , the central province of the Persian empire with the capital Persepolis , after the predecessor Ariobarzanes had fallen in the fight against the conqueror. Phrasaortes died while Alexander was in India. The Persian Orxines then illegally seized the province.
