Phrygian Pentapolis
The Phrygian Pentapolis was a union of five Phrygian cities in antiquity . The members were:
- Eukarpia (today Emirhisar ),
- Hierapolis (today Koçhisar ),
- Otrous (today Yanıkören ),
- Stektorion (today Kocahüyük, northeast of Menteş ) and
- Brouzos (now Karasandıklı ).
The area around these cities, today the valley floor around Sandıklı , was also called Pentapolis .
