Sandıklı is a district in Afyonkarahisar Province in southwest Turkey . The administrative center ( Merkez ) is the city of the same name Sandıklı. It houses around 58 percent of the district's population and is divided into 13 Mahalle . The city is located around 60 km south of the provincial capital Afyonkarahisar on the D650 to Burdur .
The district is located in the west of the province and borders the Denizli province . In addition to the district town, it consists of the small town / municipality ( Belediye ) Akharım (3,319 inh .) And eleven municipalities with an average population of 490 inhabitants. Yakasinek (1,415) and Kırca (1,203 pop .) Are the largest villages.
