İhsaniye is a district town and a district in the north of the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar . İhsaniye claims 14 percent of the district's population. The place İhsaniye was founded in 1888 by Turkish refugees from Rumelia . In 1942 he was declared a Bucak and on April 1, 1959 a parish (tr: Belediye ).
The district , created in 1959, borders the Eskişehir and Kütahya provinces in the north . In addition to the district town, it consists of four other municipalities (small towns): Döğer (5,827 inh. / 4 mahall), Gazlıgöl (2,458 inh. / 4 mah.), Kayıhan (2,441 inh . / 4 mah.) In ancient times, İhsaniye was part of Phrygia . The Phrygian valley running here contains many monuments ( Maltaş , Arslankaya , Aslantaş and Yılantaş ) and places ( Ayazini ) from different epochs. In Beyköy , numerous Phrygian graves were found on various hills , including a Hittite stele. On the Yumruktepe hill there, next to the graves, there is a weathered relief fragment of a likewise Hittite winged sun .
