Kızılören is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar . The city is located about 70 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Afyonkarahisar . It houses around 61.5 percent of the district's population (end of 2018).
The district is located in the west of the province . It borders Sandıklı to the north, Dinar to the south and Denizli Province to the west . The D-650 highway from Adapazarı to Antalya runs through the district from north to south, about three kilometers east of the district town .
In addition to the district town, the district also includes four villages ( Köy ): Ekinova (the largest with 441 inhabitants), Gülyazı , Türkbelkavak and Yenibelkavak . The district has the third lowest population density in the province (22/52 inhabitants per km²).
